The Bush Lyon Homestead
The Bush Lyon Homestead, located in Lyon Park at 479 King Street in Port Chester, New York, is one of the few surviving pre-Revolutionary homes in the Westchester–Fairfield region. Once the center of a 200-acre working farm, the Homestead and its surrounding 22-acre park have been owned and maintained by the Village of Port Chester since 1925. Pieces of Port Chester’s rich history can be viewed here, and by sharing the story of the Homestead, the historical society hopes to inspire efforts to restore it as a community landmark and historical resource.
